  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Queen is one of my favorite older bands. And about my dad and I liking the same music I don't mind. Unless he starts singing then it gets bad.

I don't have that problem because while I'm listening to Queen and The Beatles and J 105 my dad is singing Eminem's "Two trailor park girls go round the outside..."

Love Queen. Had the opportunuty to teach a band class once and the students were supposed to play We Will Rock You and they did (badly - could have been my "don't know a thing about teaching band"). On the second day of substitute teaching there I had them watch "A Tribute to Freddy Mercury" movie / concert (Wimbley Stadium) and they got a taste of the genius behind Queen. Good stuff.

sorry...I think they were hideous.
Some good things...Brian May's guitar, one of the most readily identifiable in music, the vocal harmonies and the fact that they all wrote. Apart from that, I don't think there's a single redeeming feature, and the only worse drummer than Roger Taylor in a band that made it, would have to be Nick Mason. And I like the Floyd.
This is all entirely subjective, of course, and doesn't pretend to be otherwise.

It's because he made it himself (for anyone who didn't know that... not trying to be patronising or anything...:))

Roger Taylor was only bad coz he was drunk all the time!

And at least you like Pink Floyd...:)
