A majority of the lyrics on Innuendo were not written by him. He just happened to read the lyrics and adopted them as his own.

The only two songs on the album written by Freddie were "I'm Going Slightly Mad" and "Delilah".

I did not know that... Cool! His vocals on Who Wants to Live Forever are just heart wrenching! That song is one that if you have ever loved and lost, it'll tear you up.

Which was exactly the emotion in the movie Highlander where the song was played. I've been haunted by that song since.

Did you know that Freddy wrote that song about his life? When he wrote Innuendo, he knew he was dieing. I think that is why Innuendo is such a powerful album.

Two points here:
1) It wasn't on Innuendo - it was on A Kind of Magic (which was basically the Highlander soundtrack)
2) Brian May wrote it, not Freddie Mercury

Still, it's one of my favourite Queen songs. The line "ooohhhhh when love must time" gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I've heard the song sung by other people, but nobody manages to deliver that line the way that Freddie did.

Where did you get that idea? It's, for the main part, incorrect. Queen has always worked together on the majority of their songs, so while a few of them were written single handedly by one member, more often than not, the songs were worked on by 2, 3, or the whole band.

Farrokh Bulsara was his real name.

If I remember correctly, I read some where that Freddie had a 3 Octive vocal range. Poveratti said he was one of the greatest singers he had ever heard. I may be wrong though.

Just about the only rock voice that comes close to Freddie is Steve Perry, formerly with Journey.

I hear that Bryan May and the boys are regrouping and coming back into the studio with a new lead vocalist. Frankly, I'm glad, because Brian was a strong force in the band in the early years, and Queen could still a strong impact on music today.

Paul Rogers sang on the tour last year. I had the honor of finally seeing my favorite band in concert, even if it's a shadow of what they once were. I personally didn't care for Rogers style and don't have very high expectations for the new album coming out. He's no Freddie.

The only set back I could see with Depp playing Mercury is that Mercury was Indian... Minor drawback, but still...
