  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I seriously doubt you actually understand quantum mechanics. Given that the people who actually DO understand it have never used it to suggest that people jumping from one universe to another is the best explanation for the Mandela effect, I don't see why I should listen to you when you claim it is.

Not really. You lay out some generally accepted criteria for a good explanation, you see how many criteria each explanation satisfies and how well, and you compare the results for each.

The timeline explanation fails most, if not all, the criteria for a good explanation; the unreliable memory explanation satisfies most, if not all, the criteria for a good explanation.

If you want people to take your claims seriously, this is not the way to achieve it. On the other hand, if you want us to think you are a flake, you're on the right track.

What is claimed with out evidence can be dismissed without counter-evidence.

You've got a claim, and we'd like evidence. It has nothing to do with our religious positions.

If this site didn't require us to display "faith labels" you would have no idea that I didn't believe in any gods. That fact has never been part of our discussions with you, except of course when you accuse people of not accepting you pseudoscience claims because we don't have a religion.

It's not because I am an atheist that I reject your unevidenced claims, it is because I am a scientist. And that's just how we roll.
