I think that HL2 and the other recent FPS out there have really set the bar as far as expectations for future games. It won't be enough to simply make an incredible looking deathmatch game, you will have to include a really engaging single player game and include with it a sound multiplayer function. I don't see screenshots from any game looking bad anymore, it's the game play that will make or break a game.

hehehe honestly I was a little disapointed in the screenshots... the characters looked a bit plasticy.... but! Its still very very early; and I'm sure that'll be changed. Maybe I'm just too picky and keep my expectations for the game too high. I've always been a big DOOM and QUAKE and UNREAL fan; Half-Life and others always felt too slow for me...
