The absence of the expected evidence for such a large scale event is a strong indication it may not have happened.
God couldn't clean up His mess for sanitary and safety reasons?

Did He expect Noah and his sons to "replenish the earth" by walking through layers and layers of quicksand, mud, filth, and decayed plants and animals?

My conclusion is that a recent world wide flood didn't happen and many millions of years of events did.
Many millions of years of events, but not one of those "millions of years of events" was a world-wide flood.

Interesting.

Sounds like poor planning.

Apparently, yes.

Oh, I think the Flood accomplished its purpose.

How is it that Noah sending out a dove, which came back with an olive leaf, is overlooked by so many scholars today?

Is it because they're concentrating on all that mud and debris that they're trained to concentrate on, and missed a simple olive leaf in a bird's beak?

I take it academia is fuming and smarting because God beat them to the clean-up -- and cleaned it up so much better than their best efforts could do.

Imagine if God cleaned up the mess caused by Hurricane Katrina.

People born after that would be going, "Hurricane What??"

How can you say that for sure, when no one knows for sure?

many mountains sculpted by glaciers no doubt.

How many of them are in a square - 2KM on each side of the base??? The article says that is not what they would expect.

That's roughly the dimensions of the Matterhorn, which also has 4 faces. As do other pyramidal peaks.

It's also worth noting that a 2000 meter on a side pyramid is roughy 10 times the width of the Great Pyramid and (given the same proportions) would be 1000 time the volume of the Great Pyramid. Whatever it is, people didn't build it. At least not without the help of aliens, ha ha ha, he laughed uncomfortably. [The Disneyland Matterhorn is 1:100 scale]

It's also hard to judge the exact shape since two faces are covered in snow, but it is clear that the main peak is connected by ridges to other pieces of that same stone formation and the top and bottom corners don't appear to be aligned exactly opposite each other.

Did scientists take that into consideration, before they concluded it was inconclusive?

If it is "clear to you," I assume it was "clear to them."

Yet you say one thing, and they say another.

Interesting.

That's what the evidence shows.

Also, while if God wanted a post world wide flood world to be livable he'd need to do some clean up and miraculous repopulation of plants and animals... he wouldn't need to rebuild it with scarred and marked little layers that matched millions of years of other events.

I'll admit, I thought the History Channel was an acceptable channel.

But then, I never really watched it either.

I think it was originally known for dry, mostly factual pop-history documentories (mostly about WWII), these days it's the channel that brought us Ancient Aliens and Vikings.

What do you think I've been saying here for a decade and a half?

God cleaned up the mess.

And with two exceptions (white cliffs, meandering rivers), He did such a good job cleaning up, it's like it never happened in the first place.

Just like when He took a rib from Adam and closed up the wound.

Not a scar, no mismatched tissue, no nothing.

It's like it never happened.

In fact, had He not documented it, we wouldn't know it.

Why Do Streams Meander?

Considering how meanders form, I'd say that's even more effort on God's part to do it like that than him just going "POOF!" or "BOOM!" or whatever sound effect would work best for removing all the detritus of the flood.

I don't understand what you're saying.

God ordered the waters to etch meandering rivers into the surface of the earth, and the waters did so as they hastened on to their removal point.

Psalm 104:8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

God didn't let nature do anything, as nature would have taken too long.

People in SW North America may agree but their runoff was due to the middle of the continent once being part of the ocean before the middle rose and drained itself pre- Ice Age. Opposite to what happened in the Mediterranean and Black Sea area.
