I nearly freaked out at the beginning of last week's episode when Chuck fell on top of Ned and she didn't die and they started kissing passionately and undressing ...and then when Chuck peeled her skin off and it was Olive...I was like 'oh, dang, someone is having a dream.":sigh:

yes, I expect more "teasing the audience" scenes like that in the future.;)

I love Pushing Daisies! You'd think a show about death would be gloomy and depressing, but they do such a great job of making it a fun, cute, light-hearted series. Love the witty dialogue, I think that's half of what makes it so interesting.

I caught "the Birds" reference. How did they pay tribute to Vertigo?
They did a transition between scenes that used the Vertigo style. I can't even remember what episode that was in now, I just remember the spiraling scene transition.

I heard this show given rave reviews on Entertainment Weekly that I get and I had to check it out. I happen to catch half of it. I thought it was great. I put it on the TIVO to record and saw my second episode recently. The show was not what I was expecting at all. Great narration, original writing, and fascinating approach to a show. I hope this one doesn't get cancelled and it get's a cool little cult following.

So far (other than that 11 yo kid who posted) I'm the only guy to post so far. Not sure what that says about the show or me, but I like the show no matter what.

If it makes you feel better, my husband LOVES the show. He just doesn't post here. ;)

I think it's great that Pushing Daisies appeals to guys too - my brother watches it and seems to like it. IMO, quality shows are ones that can be enjoyed by everyone.

So any opinions about 2007's finale, "Corpiscle" (so hope I'm spelling that right!)??
That was one crazy episode! Oh dear...

I thought it was pretty good. I think the show is progessing nicely. Paul Ruben as the creepy guy with the great sense of smell (and smelling the death on Chuck) is great. It always cracks me up how chipper the dead people are when they are brought back to life and find out they are dead. I'm a late comer to the show so I was shocked that Olive doesn't know that Chuck was brought back to life or that Ned has that ability. I guess I wasn't up to date as of yet.
