Anyone watching Pushing Daisies on ABC?

I really had no plans to watch it, as it's on the same time America's Next Top Model (a guilty pleasure of mine  ) is on Wednesdays. However the premiere episode was rerun tonight and I caught it. I loved it! Just a sweet, whimsical combination of drama, dark comedy, and romance. A very charming modern day fairy tale.

It doesn't surprise me that we have yet another show in common. :D

Yes, this show was amazing. It conflicted for me too, so I watched it on abc.com because I had heard so many great reviews on it. Totally worth it, I am hooked.

A whimsical, modern-day fairy tale is a perfect description.

Barry Sonnenfeld did Men in Black and The Addams Family and he's done several other things - most of which have similar flair for storytelling.

I really enjoyed it more than I would. The twists to his 'gift' help keep the show interesting - and the dialogue was a lot of fun. I think if they can keep up the writing and the storytelling, it's going to do well. And it already received a lot of buzz before the season started - so I think there's a good chance for it to actually survive the inevitable 'purges'. :)

When the monkeys kissed, and Ned asked his partner to give Chuck a hug for him, and when they held their own hands behind their backs.... major awwwww moments for me!

I know! me too! I also loved the part when Ned was on the couch and Chuck was in Ned's bed and they both put their hands on the wall and it looked like they were touching hands...so sweet and sad.

I love this show too! It's so charming and the lead actors have a lot of chemistry.

Did anyone see the second episode, where Kristen Chenoweth sings and dances? I didn't expect that, but it's perfect for the series, which has everything else -- from special effects to narration. I'm glad they're using her singing talents. Very creative!
I also watched Pushing Daisies and I had to admit, it's just too cute to not watch it! LOL

As for Kristin Chenowith, she's a tiny gal (under 5 ft!) with a BIG voice~

(6 June 1999) Won the 1999 Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Sally in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

I think that was my favorite scene of any show I've seen this year. Especially the parts with Digby, I love Digby!!

Narrator (while Digby licks Olive's crying face): "While Olive considered how much she loved Digby for paying attention to her when the pie man wouldn't, and Digby considered how much he loved salt....." :D

Good question, snoochface! The writers will have to handle it carefully. If Olive does tell someone, then Chuck will have to either (1) deny she is who she is or (2) pass it off like she wasn't really dead.

Did anyone else have a little red flag in their head during the saran wrap scene? I was like "Oh my gosh, that's dangerous. He could suffocate!" :D

There were so many times I thought they were way too close for comfort.
Yeah, the only way I'm able to watch this show is because I secretly believe that she is the exception to the rule. I think that because of true love, he really COULD touch her without her dying. If I didn't think that, I'd be on pins and needles the whole time! ^_^

That's a great thought! If that's true though, I bet they don't reveal it until the series finale or something. :D
