My mission/purpose is to care for myself and my family, to do my job well, and to help others as I have opportunity and means.

My current outreach to the community is removing the weeds from a local creek. I've gotten lots of positive comments from passersby.

Our purpose is to serve. We must learn to truly love God. Just as God emptied Himself in Jesus Christ out of His love for us, so we are to do the same towards Him. It's easy to say, but it takes an effort for me to learn and do it in practice. We serve God by mortifying our flesh (fallen human nature) through asceticism, by being thanking and glorifying Him for every single pleasure we enjoy and of course by helping our neighbour as good as we can in the name of Jesus and His love. Our goal in this last case is to bring, to reveal the good God to them, to testify about His love, that He is the true Rock of salvation, the safe Haven amidst all uncertainties and turmoil of life and the world. To be able to do this we must first become honest towards Him and ourselves.
