  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A few notes:

Brewed in Bracebridge Ontario Canada so I don't think it's going to be easy to find.

Eye: It pours a nice creamy head that lasts, not much nose. Clear, clean amber colour.

First sip: STRONG citrus taste. I really do not like grapefruit but that's what it tastes like. Little alcohol taste for an IPA of 6.4%. Little after taste.

Second sip after a few minutes of sitting: Nice, much better, the citrus has mellowed some but still there. The head is starting to fade, giving off a little more nose, still creamy and leaves some on the inside of the glass. A little more nose on this puppy than I first thought, very nice. This isn't a chem brew.

Not bad. It's a quality craft beer and thrust quenching. It's not something I would buy year round. I'm happy to have tried it.

I've been shaving with cold to lukewarm water all week and
thumbup.gif

I've read the articles on Art of Manliness about cold shaving and I still don't buy the supposed "science" behind the old articles quoted, but I tried it and it works (for me).

Tonight I used cold water, the Lord L6 double edge, Proraso, witch hazel and bay rum. Shave up, down and side to side without any irritation.

Now, it's time for a Kilkenny's before bed.

Do you folks like to smoke? I haven't had a see-gar in 10 years and miss the aroma of flavoured ta'bacca, don't want to smoke one myself tho.

j

Marlboro Special Blend lights shorts in a box...sometimes go for the 100's. I'm not at all pleased with the inflation or taxation of ta'bacca here in the States. Before the price jumped ten dollars overnight, I smoked Marlboro Lights. I had quit smoking for twelve years until I got together with my wife. :D We're probably gonna have to both quit at some point, simply because of the cost.

I've been smoking my longneck pipe, way cheaper than cigars. But when I go for cigars, I typically stick with CAO or Rocky Patel. In a blatant act of self-promotion, here's some beer/cigar reviews from my blog:

I got a nice, solid pipe for...20 bucks, I think (obviously you can spend a LOT of money, but for 20 bucks, the pip I got is terrific), and a bag of good tobacco for 5 bucks. One bag lasts me about 6 months.

The tax in Canada on alcohol and tobacco is insane. I bought a bottle of whiskey and drove it back across the boarder. I paid $21 for the bottle in the States and paid $19 bucks in Canadian tariffs. Not cool man, not cool. It's a similar percentage on tobacco.
