  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Americans are a nation of people who desire and enjoy pure thing. We want pure water, not contaminated water. The water fom the faucet is no pure enough, so we buy bottled water. We want a genuine leather coat, not pleather. We want designer name brands( FUBU, American Eagle,GAP,etc.) noy knock-offs, no-name brands from Wal-Mart or the Dollar Store or Payless. Yet we offer God something less than a pure heart. Maybe the problem stems from not knowing the characteristics of a pure heart.

A p.u.r.e heart is not about trying to be"all religious." That is the view that a worldly individual might take when approached by one in the body of Christ who has accepted the challenge to go out and be a witness for God. The response may be " Not yet, I'm not ready to be all religious." or " I'm just not down to it." Even you got to keep it real for yourself. " I still got a lot more living to do. You can't have fun chillin at the church!" It's sad this individual cannot see with the discerning eye of the Holy Spirit! The pure in heart can clearly see God's real presence. Don't let false prophets lead you astray (Matthew 22:11). They say what you want to hear. When they do speak out about your wrong doings, its done in half-truths, allowing you to continue with the belief that you are not so bad. They really don't shake up your little world too much, because they want to remain popular.

I like how you said we only want pure things but we do not want to give God a pure heart. That was a powerful teaching you just gave us from the heart of a 14 year old. :pink:

True God wants purity of our hearts and we should strive to get our hearts as pure as "bottled water" (I like that). We should strive to remove all traces of impurity.
