  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

He is a boxer and has such personality! We don't punish him for messing in the house we just say no and bad if we actually catch him. We take him to the same spots in the yard and always use the same lingo as in 'go potty'. He is in a crate when we can't watch him but he hates the thing and always makes the biggest fuss. He may only be 10 weeks but he has a big boy bark already.:)

Dont take him out of his crate when he is fussing, you may only be encouraging the fussing. Break him of that habit now or you'll never be able to keep him confined safely and quietly. Make sure the crate is properly sized, not too large or too small, he has a blankie to lie on, a few safe toys to chew on and take him out every 2 hours, but other than that, let him cry his fool head off if he wants to. Don't let him train you. Having crate-trained 4 dogs this year alone, I know that they can sound like they're dying and they really pull on your heart strings, but it will only get worse if you let them dictate your actions.
My guys sleep peacefully overnight in their crates, are crated when certain company comes over, are crated when I'm not at home and eat in their crates. For the most part, they go there voluntarily when they are sleepy, and often horse around, running from crate to crate, when they play hide and seek.
Oh, and 2 of the pups I've trained this year, were Boxers. They are a wonderful, wonderful breed. Good luck and have fun with your very smart pup!
