Puppy Problem!

I have a nine month old border collie puppy and he is constantly nipping at peoples feet. I know its his natural instincts but is there any way to make him stop? Also he will not let me trim his nails! What Should I do?

A loud and abrupt "No" every time he nips should work with that problem.

I raised dogs for show, and their nails have to be kept scrupiously. Have someone hold the dog and trim a nail, then make a big fuss over him. Do a couple of nails at a time at first, then gradually increase them, and eventually do away with the second person.

Basically, it takes persistance.

Nail trimming should equal something good. Have something really yummy to give him when you do his nails. Hopefully he will start to associate nail trimmings with good things.

I have problems with my dog with trimming nails.

I usually do it when the dog is exhausted. He doesn't care
what happens when he's sleeping.

I just got a puppy and she's 3 months old, she's nips at peoples feet and sometimes a bit hard... Just say no, and grab a piece of fur on her mouth and give it a little jerk and say no, don't do it too hard, just enough wear she feels it and squeeks a little... Keep doing it, and he'll bite a little less harder and yea...
