  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My wife and I are picking up our puppy tomorrow...any advice on house training would be helpful. Infact we could use all the advice we can get on anything related to this dog. Isn't she cute?

Check out www.spca.org. Up at the top, you'll see 'Info Center' hold your mouse above it and then click on "Your Dog" Lots of good information regarding training, behavior, health etc. I would suggest getting a crate for your puppy as this helps with house training (look up crate training) as well as gives her a place of her own where she can feel "safe". Good luck with her and she is awfully cute!

We had a dog that looked almost like that, smaller white patch though, wish I still had her. Whew boy are you in for fun. My reccomendation is a book called puppy preschool- it's excellent and at our library, lots of great info. An old sock with a tennis ball pushed to the toe and knotted is a great toy ! Have fun>
