ok first of all, good charlotte and simple plan are not punk. they are POP. i personally like the distillers, although they are not punk anymore. actually, only their first cd (their self titled album) was punk...the second one was sorta punkish and then their third was...humm....i'm not really sure what it is lol! but all i know is that brody has an AMAZING voice...anyone agree?

Brody and the rest of the band personally signed my copy of Sing Sing Death House at Lollapalooza.

Whooh.

I like some "punk"

I like more hardcore than true punk though. Since emocore, post-punk, and psychobilly are products of punk...I'll list those too.

Rites of Spring
Sunny Day Real Estate
Fugazi
Joy Division
coheed and cambria
from autumn to ashes
operation ivy (ska?)
the Misfits
Alkaline Trio
The Distillers
AFI
Atreyu
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Tiger Army
The Blood Brothers
Cursive (more like indie-rock
Bright Eyes (more like indie-rock
the clash
subhuman

but whatever...who cares.

the decendants are cool! but they have been ripped off waaaay too much!
the distillers (how cool about getting your copy of sing sing signed!!) it was that album that got me into punk! NOFX, AFI, rancid, the clash!!! greenday, LFB, the jam, offspring make me laugh. i like mostly ska punk tho... less than jake, reel big fish, gravel trap, whitmore, [spunge], MADNESS!!
i've heard of dogwood but not heard them :(, but cephas are a christian punk band and they are really cool!

Mainly, I am really a big Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, NOFX fan, but some others I've been known to listen to are..

Dead Kennedys, Exploited, Propagandhi (perhaps the best punk band ever in my eyes), Dropkick Murphys (gotta love the Irish influences in each song), Descendents, Ska-P (Great Spanish punk music, check it out), and the Subhumans.

So much good punk out there, too bad it's just never shown to the public unless they look for it. hehe
