Obama was also involved with interfering with Israeli elections to try and block Netanyahu. A report was published on this just recently.

Wow, I never thought anything could make me respect President Obama. But this... comes slightly close.

Im actually interested in your view on this Bob because I know your a strong supporter of Trump. Do you think this is a good move for the USA and the Middle East?

Yes I think with a stronger president in office now we will come out with a better deal.

Iran is talking a lot of smack tonight but, it's just talk.

Trump will handle them just like he is handling North Korea. Like none before him.

Exactly, wouldn't do it over night. First help Mexico get up to speed and join the union. That would have killed the border issue right there. Then keep going south and as people see success, they become more eager to join. But it boggles my mind why we chose to pour our wealth into China and shipped our service industry to India instead of South America. And it would have made more sense to have our troops dispersed in our continents rather than 1/2 way around the world as well. Just sayin.

At university we had a lecture on Pacific regional policies by an ex-Foreign Minister. He commented on what the influencing factors are in the region and also what is determining the power structures - ie who's a rising power and who in the next 50 years will be the major players. His view was that China will dwarf all others but the emerging powers to challenge China will be India and interestingly Africa. He stated Africa with it's Congress is building like the EU with lots of countries but with an increasingly strong continental view, and possessing rich resources. He stated USA will always be influential but his view was that it's strategic views will make it increasingly isolated and thus far less influential. So your view of a combining America may well be far more futuristic.

For Australia our political/business view is to consider ourselves not as a European based nation, but as Asian, which is why our membership and leadership in ASEAN is important.
