Does anyone remember a cartoon television special based on this song? I remember seeing it several times when I was a kid. I always think about it this time of year because it seems like this is when they would usually show it. I remember it featured the main character Johnny Paper. I would love to see it again.

Yes, I remember it too. I watched it alot as a kid. I've not been able to find it again though.

I wonder whether it was originally about marijuana. I know some people have said that, however, the cartoon featured new songs by Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul, and Mary).
