• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hi All,

Does anyone suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

I just want to ask, as I'm 6 months past the Traumatic incident:

1) Did you find that you want to sleep more often?
2) Did you get tension headaches?
3) Nausea?
4) Experience a lack of motivation?

I seem to be feeling weaker now, is it just my body trying to get back in order after such a stressful 1 & 1/2 years?

E.g. I'm now out of crisis mode and beginning to level back out and the body is now recovering from the damage that prolonged traumatic stress causes.

Thank you.

I'm suspected of suffering from Complex PTSD.

1) I always loved sleep. No changes here.
2) Tension, yes. Headaches, not really.
3) No
4) I pretty much gave up on life because people treat me like a second class citizen due to me being on the spectrum.

Thanks to therapeutic relationships I have at work and on this site, I am getting better. I hope for the best for you.

In case you didn't know, there is a Trauma, PTSD & Dissociation forum, however more people probably read this forum and it is fine to post here. That forum is more concerned than this one is about not triggering anyone.
