The next time Psalms is read....give this a try:
David = Jesus
the "wicked" or ungodly or especially "enemies" = the tares within the church...within the kingdom of heaven
the righteous...the saints = the wheat within the church...within the kingdom of heaven
The tares ( the enemies of Christ) grow up with the wheat until the harvest. The enemies have arisen to oppress the righteous within the church. But they will be made His footstool...they will be severed from the righteous. Then, the righteous will be able to shine in the kingdom:
(Mat 13:43 KJV) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
The oppression by the "enemies" have caused a drought within the kingdom of heaven....people are spiritually poor....spiritually hungry and thirsty. What has the enemy done with the body of Christ (his people) today in the drought? As Jesus was led away to be crucified, he asked this very question:
(Luke 23:31 KJV) For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
This is why Jesus will say to the goats on his left:
Matthew 25:
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
The servant (church leader) who beats those underneath them...who does not feed them but instead feeds himself and lives in luxury off of those entrusted to his care, is in for a surprise. But blessed is the one who gives the body of Christ the "meat" in due season....when the body is hungry and thirsty.
His body ( we the people) have been spiritually poor, hungry and thirsty and in prison underneath the oppression of the church leaders who perpetuate this condition. We are as prisoners that need to be released from their yoke and the Lord will release them (as calves released from the stall).
(Psa 69:33 KJV) For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
The Lord executes judgement:
(Psa 146:7 KJV) Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
God will deliver us from the enemies within the church....He will sever the unjust from the just.
(Psa 71:4 KJV) Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
The wicked...the tares....were sowed among us while we SLEPT....not knowing who they were. Jesus will say to them "Depart from me, all you workers of sin". Jesus weeps at what is being done to his body today.
Psalms 6:
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
(Mat 7:23 KJV) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Jesus was numbered with the transgressors on the cross and is numbered (his body) with them even today. We have all transgressed, but God is merciful to forgive us if we repent (he makes intercession for us)...but, the trangressors who refuse to repent are cut off:
(Psa 37:38 KJV) But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
The wicked are severed from the righteous:
(Mat 13:49 KJV) So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Those who come out of tribulation...out of the prison of their oppressors will NO LONGER BE HUNGRY AND THIRSTY....for the Lamb will feed them:
(Rev 7:16 KJV) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
The "heat" are those that oppress the people of God...who do not give spiritual food or drink to the body of Christ....the "heat" strikes those underneath them...the servant who feeds only himself begins to beat the menservants and maidservants (Luke 15:45).
(Isa 49:9 KJV) That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
(Isa 49:10 KJV) They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
