  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
91:2 I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I
trust.

It is often really difficult for us as human beings to trust God/Christ Jesus and feel that we are safe in His shadow.

Dwells: What do we dwell in as human beings? When we dwell in something, do we use our minds, hearts, and spirit? When we dwell in something negative or unhealthy for us, how do we feel about our lives and ourselves? I think that Christ Jesus asks us to say, look at where you are dwelling, come dwell in me, let me dwell in you.

Most High: God and Jesus Christ are the founders of the universe as it is explained to use in Genesis Chapter 1-6. When we worship or dwell in any other idols, do we feel safe in our dwelling?

Shelter: Shelter is a need among all humanity. According to Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs, it is one of the most essential elements for human survival. Without the basic needs, food, water, and shelter, human beings will die. God Christ Jesus is saying to us, even when we do not have the basics for human survival, he is our rock and our shelter.

Refuge: God Christ Jesus is saying to us that we can take rest in Him, that no matter what happens He is there for us.

Fortress: God's love for us is like a protective barricade when we are faced in our most darkest times if we rely on him and have

Trust: one of the very basics of human emotion. We trust that no matter what happens to us, we are going to get through it. That God Christ Jesus will be our rock and fortress as we take shelter in his love and protection.

This is what God Christ Jesus asks us to do. Let me love you, let me protect you, I am here for you, My Son Died For You. Take shelter in His Love.

This is the essential message of the Bible.
