The laptop shows that Joe lied about his supposed lack of business dealings involving his son Hunter with foreign nations such as China and Russia. When illegal or embarrassing acts are committed with foreign countries, those countries have the leverage to blackmail individuals involved. With such leverage it could make the difference between Joe giving Ukraine the MIGs they need to win or not. Putin is going to take as many countries as he can until stopped, and such decisions can have worldwide consequences involving millions of people.

Psaki has spoken out on it, she said it was Russian disinformation, and has now been caught in a lie. Just like Joe, she did not have to say anything, but since she has made that false claim on behalf of the president, she needs to publicly make a correction and explain why she lied.
