I was trying to tell you that the 360 does not have a lot of shooters but I can see why you would think that because the shooters are usually the more played and better of the whole line up. Take the list of shooters and compare them to the entire list of 360 games and you'll see the ratio is exact to say there are only a few shooters out there for the 360.
Then you obviously didn't look at the Gamestop listings as I suggested. Like I said, Sports and Shooters were the largest two catagories for the 360.
Then you've obviously never played the games, at least not Splinter Cell. SC very little depends on guns. In fact, you do best when you don't use them. You get about two guns in the game, in fact, and that's it. The rest are gadgets and your agility.
I've played both. I realize the object of those games is sneaking, but the action mechanics of both games are the same as shooters. Argue all you want, I know it is nearly impossible for Xbox fans to accept criticism.
I'd like to hear why you think Oblivion is overrated. It's a hugely immense world with endless things to do, a huge truck bed of quests, and a flawless combat system. And yes, the visuals are pretty, but that's not why people love it.
Flawless combat system? lol I'm not even gonna touch that one. In short, the controls suck, and no matter how many options you have in a game, if the gameplay sucks, the game sucks.
I labeled you that because you have the typical talking points of one. In an effort to strengthen your resolve, you bring down the 360 with cutting and snide remarks without any leway for it's positives.
And yet you still have not pointed out what I am a fanboy of. Makes me even more sure that you're just throwing the word out there because you can't come up with any solid responses to what I've said. If I don't like what you like, I must be SOME kind of fanboy, right? lol
Nope, you just have the markings of one. You may not have a new deity to worship yet, but trust me, you're fanboy material.
That even furthers my point that you think anyone who likes something is obviously a fanboy. I like to write books - does that make me a writing fanboy? Hmm? I like tacos. Does that make me a taco fanboy? I could understand if I was running around yelling, "PS3 IS GREAT! NOTHING ELSE WILL EVER BE BETTER!!!!11!!! LOLZORZ!!!"
Sounds an awful lot like the way someone else around here (no, not you) acts about the 360.
I agree. You're acting way too childish.
Riiiight. I mention earlier in the thread that Xbox has only shooters going for it, you START trouble by calling me foolish, then admit that I was right, and
I'M the one being childish? Yeah, you go right ahead and believe that. lol
Nope, Halo 3 is the confirmed last shooter in the series. They are coming out with a RTS game based on the universe called Halo Wars, but Halo 3 is the last in the shooter series. Look it up. Do research.
I am well aware that it was
announced that Halo 3 is the last of the series. And Metal Gear Solid: 3 was supposed to be the last game in THAT series when it was first announced, too. And when the original Star Wars trilogy was released to DVD it was announced that Lucas would NOT be releasing the original theatrical versions on DVD - yet that happened in September. It's called business - you try to create such hype around a popular product that more and more people think they just MUST have it. If people really believe that Halo 3 is the last in the series, they're going to rush out for it like desert nomads after a glass of water. But I guarantee you there will be a Halo 4, 5, 6, and as many more as they need to make to keep milking the series for all they can. Halo is the only thing that ever made Xbox so popular (for reasons that elude me) and they wouldn't be so stupid as to let it end at the height of its popularity.
Your sheer inability to read and do research just proves to me that this conversation isn't worth carrying on. If you want to continue debating in PM, that's fine, although I'll probably ignore it. I have games to play and a life to live. Ya know, have fun, not pick things apart. But, you do what you need to do. I'm tiring of drawing the topic away from the OP. In fact, this topic should be closed. It's on a rumor that was obviously false...
Of course you're going to think I have no understanding and done no research when you're going to IGNORE everything I've said. And you're right, this conversation ISN'T worth carrying on, since your blind love for the Halobox controls you. Perhaps next time you should keep your "foolish" remarks to yourself. No one asked you to stick your two cents in, and I certainly had done nothing to insult you prior to this exchange. If you disagreed with what I said about the 360, you could've said, "What makes you say that?" or given a little evidence to support your claim, rather than just take a blind insult. And you say that I'M the childish one. Go figure.
I'm glad the conversation is over.
Back on topic, however, I'm curious how Sony is making out financially with the PS3 after the holiday season. I know we had one at our store that just sat and sat until one of our employees ended up buying it. Are they still in high demand? Cause around here no one seems to care anymore. For that matter, our local Best Buy has had PS3s in stock MORE OFTEN than the Wii, yet I know Nintendo's sales are soaring (oops, hope that comment wasn't too "fanboyish"). Are people still picking the thing up?
If the price goes down, I'll prolly get one, but that's not likely to happen for a while. Besides, the only good games on it right now are (go figure) shooters anyway. I'll wait till the library is a bit more robust.
