I put Prince of Persia: Sands of Time in the console, and the analog doesn't turn on and at the main screen it looks like it's just pushing up the entire time. However, it's the only game it does this with. There aren't any major scratches on the game, and all other games are just fine... anyone know what to do?

If you have one of the older (bigger and thicker) ps2's. It could be a warping laser, or that the laser is out of adjustment. But since it only does it with one disk, that is odd. Google this, there are lots of guides about this. Normaly this was the case if you kept getting "disk read errors".

Have you tried unplugging the console for 1 min and retry the game. Or unplug the av (plug from console to tv)plug from the back and blow out the connections.

I hope you find an answer.
Also try a cleaning disk in the machine.

Or perhaps the disk had been cleaned with some sort of chemical.

I actually discovered that if I unplug the controller while it's turning on and loading, then plug it back in once it says that there's no controller, it will work. The cool thing is that it works fine now without me doing that. Actually my wife figured that last part out, but hey, it works :D
