Stop trying to inject your academics into the Bible, or you'll end up confusing yourself.
Wanting academic explanations of how the Flood was orchestrated and so on and so forth just makes it harder on yourself.
Learn the difference between science and miracles, and you won't make nearly the mistakes you make.
