How many people are proud of their ages?

Each year of our lives we should count it as a blessing that God has allowed us to walk this earth one more day for His glory.

I am proud to be 43. It means Im a survivor!!


There is a woman in my town with my same first and last name except she spells it with a S. I was never more glad to tell the bail bonds person that I was 40. She is in her late '20's.

Me too!!! And since I don't have wrinkles, people think I am 10 years younger than I am! Works for me!!!

I couldn't wait to be 20, hated 30. Got ok by 35, looked forward to 40 and really looking forward to 50! And I think the older a woman is the prettier she is. Her face is more alive with character.

I am turning 40 in September. I have to admit, this is a very hard birthday for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my life. I'm proud of the things I've gone through that have gotten me to where I am today. I feel exceptionally blessed to have my husband and my home and the life that I lead every day.

But the turning 40 thing is really getting to me. I'm leaving my 30's, I just had a hysterectomy so even though I never planned to have kids, now I *can't*, and.... waah waah waah someone call the waaaahmbulance for me, heh. I'll get over it, I'm sure.

But for now, I'm leaning toward telling people I am about to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my 30th birthday.

I dont mind my age either.... I used to think I would. I am so comfortable in my skin now I wouldn't give that up for anything. I've also been told that I look a lot younger than I really am, which I'm sure helps with that answer! LOL The teens are all so afraid that they don't have the latest clothes or hairstyles and compare themselves to their friends. Although I'm up to date on styles and such, I don't really mind what everyone else is wearing or how they look..... Also, I like knowing what I know now in life rather than what I knew 20 years ago. I wouldn't trade the knowledge or experiences for anything!

Me too! I like me lots better than I did 20 years go!! What we experience in life helps shape who we are!

I don't mind my age either. Sometimes I've found other people do though and that bugs me. 44 isn't old. I can still run as hard and as far as I make up my mind to do. But some people look at people in their fourties and think "over the hill". So it's not me that minds being 44, it's some people who discriminate against people that are mature that bother me.

I'm 42, and people always make it sound like we who are in our 40s are "old". And that really irritates me because I think we still have a lot of living to do.

Sheesh, I'm more alive now than I ever was as a youngster. I've lived some and seen stuff. I'm a better person now than I was back then and will continue to ripen and mature as I get older. Like a good red wine .... you know I fully intend to still be full of life and beans when I'm twice this age
