Yes. I don't think the slammer is the answer unless the person is a serious repeat offender.
One thing I do feel strongly about is that we need more Church ministries designed specifically for dealing with problems such as these, and working in conjuction with the court system.
One thing I love about my Church is our Transformation and Loving Care program. Under the umbrella of this ministry there are two programs--Divorce Care and Confident Kids. When people go through a divorce they have to deal with the court system to a certain degree.. and they get an automatic referral to this ministry and I know alot of people have greatly benefited from it.
We also deal with drug addictions and stuff like that. Who better to minister to a drug addicted prostitute than a former drug addicted prostitue who has been down that road?
