You beat me to it!!!
This is one of our favorites. The wife and I confess this all the time!
"I am a tree planted by the waters!"
"Everything I do prospers!"
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

Instructions to the Rich

The Lord led me to these passages, and I didn't know where or how to post them until now lol. Here they are:

1 Timothy 6:17-19

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,
19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life."

The words that stood out to me as I read it are in italics - it's what I felt the Holy Spirit was emphasing to me as I read it.

God gives us richly all things to enjoy. He even instructs the rich to be willing to give and share....Food for thought. God bless...

Luk 4:18
(18) `The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because He did anoint me; To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send away the bruised with deliverance,

Most Christians do not experience the prosperity of which we speak. To the contrary, most believers are poor. Many find it hard to pay bills, keep food on the table, and provide for the needs of the family.
Most of the time when I present prosperity, I do not present it so believers can get rich. I present it to those who are suffering poverty. There are many many more impoverished believers than rich. Many outside of WoF are very paranoid about believers getting to much money. I do not see much danger of that happening. Jesus said the poor will be with us always. I am not worried about running out of poor people. I would rather risk the danger of a few rich believers if it means masses of poor believers can see what is available to them and believe God for their needs. Many of those who oppose what we teach about prosperity are themselves sitting in the lap of luxury, seemingly unconcerned that they are denying the poor the relief that Lord intended for them. I have always wondered why they would rather the masses of believers remain poor, just so they can prevent a few ministers from getting as rich as they are.
Difficult to understand.

Religion doesn't make much sense.

The gospel is simple, it may be hard at times to walk in faith, to crucify the flesh and so forth, but basically, it is not hard to understand the Bible. Religion is. Religion twists things, like the devil, who is behind it.

I need these scriptures more than ever right now. I am breathing them, eating them, muttering them, reading them, declaring them, singing them....

It doesn't matter what it looks like........

I always have all sufficiency in all things.
My God DOES supply all my needs.
I DO prosper, He gives me the ability and teaches me how to profit.
He's established a covenant giving me the power to get wealth.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel,
"I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit,
Who leads you in the way you should go.

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Yes, it's God's idea to enjoy the things He's made. He's the one the put them there, He's the one that came up with the idea to be fruitful and multiply, He's the one that chose to send Jesus to be made a curse so the blessing of Abraham could be ours. It's all His doing!

God gives us richly all things to enjoy.

At the same time we remember to love the LORD with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, for we cannot love both God and money.

The love of money is the root of all evil. But we can enjoy all the things He richly gives us.

Luke 10:27....You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).

Faith says I shall not lack for any good thing. How could I.
I seriously doubt we will do without, knowing the provider as I do. It is just not His way.

Yes, we can enjoy them but not become obsessed by them. We are not allowed to worship idols - and the love of money for alot of folk is idolatry. The thing is, that once we become followers of the Lord, and receive Him into our hearts, we begin to seek first His Kingdom, just like we are told to in the Scripture, Seek first His Kingdom and all these other things will naturally follow.

Oftentimes, we are given these things, money, blessings, prosperity etc, when we have released much of our attachment to them, and we are trusting in the Lord for everything. Money no longer represents an idol in our hearts. We are too busy serving the Lord to really worry too much about it. All the while, our needs are being met, and then one day, we notice that we are quite well off LOL! We can truly just enjoy the blessings and prosperity that is ours to receive. What wonderful freedom LOL! Praise the Lord!:bow::bow:

Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.Mat 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Amen! No good Father fails to care for His children. We put people in jail for such things. How much more will our Father who is in heaven care for His own?

Hebrews 6:9-12 "But, beloved, we are confident of BETTER THINGS concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience INHERIT THE PROMISES. (Emphasis mine.)

This speaks to my spirit about all the blessings and promises of God that belong to those that are saved, and who patiently and faithfully serve in His Kingdom. The 'better things' including things like wealth, prosperity, health, healing, guidance, protection, relationships etc etc.

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM." (Emphasis mine again lol.)

More than likely this has been posted but since I haven't seen it here recently I'll post what I've been thinking on today....

3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
