It's a good little video worth the 12 minutes, but in a nutshell a little description for folks that wont watch...
FYI - in case you forgot this couple is the one that made national headlines from brandishing their guns at a Black Lives Matter protest. That group appears assembled to protest the mayor of Saint Luis. And on their way, they decided to take a short cut through a gated community. But something happened where the gate was damaged, or lock broken etc. which allowed the protest march the ability to march through the gated housing tract where they met the Mcloskey's a few minutes later.
There is a number of points of Prosecutorial misconduct the biggest is the little pistol that Mrs. Mcloskey pointed directly at the Protestors could not fire! This is a very important in Missouri law regarding assault of whatever they were charged on. This little point however did not discourage the Prosecutors, instead they ordered the gun to be field stripped and reassembled and the problem with the firing pin fixed so the gun could fire and the couple could be prosecuted!
Besides this there are some other issues like this case has been used the DA and various politicians involved for political fund raising etc. And of course this couple is being prosecuted "for assault" when in many ways they have legitimate grounds justifying their behavior as self defense. I believe they actually have "Stand Your Ground legislation" in that state but since this got national attention and the optics of the incident really looked bad on TV (even if you are a responsible gun owner and sympathetic to the couple's plight you likely realize the wife was blatantly not following normal gun safety protocols in a way that is a bit of an eye sore).
