  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WOW Josh! I didn't even notice you had posted this, I was just scrolling back through some pages and I came across it.
Thank you so much for your word. You have no idea how incredibly accurate it was, you really have a strong prophetic gift.
In the past 3 months, I have had three words telling me that God is going to bring me into leadership, one of them said that it was going to happen in the church I am in now, so that was exciting!!!!
Just last week I went to see a visiting prophet and he said I was a worshipper and God was going to use me in worship.
I've recently been considering learning the guitar so I can lead worship at some of the bible studies I go to. I'm assuming by your name Josh that you play guitar, did you have proper lessons to learn how to play? I almost took up guitar lessons at the start of the year but realized I already had too much on my plate. Recently I have felt prompted to learn the guitar again, I already have 'relative pitch' which I have gained from years of singing. I've heard that's important in learning to play the guitar and teach yourself. Do you think it's easy to teach yourself?
God bless you Josh, once again thanks for your word!

That is so AWESOME!!!! Praise God!!!!!! :clap:Guitar lessons?! How cool is that! I actually taught myself how to play. I was inspired by Doyle Dykes. He came to my school and played fingerstyle guitar stuff. I was amazed. I told my dad I wanted a guitar. So just before Christmas I got a cheap guitar. :D All I did was listen and listen to some of Doyle's songs and I picked them up. So to answer your second question...It's easy. LOL. At least in my opinion.

I suggest getting some chord books that show you the basics...it helps so much! If you can read music that's even better (I can't read music...lol). :D After you learn the basic chords then you can play hundreds of songs already because most songs just have the same 3 or 4 basic chords in them throughout the entire song. If you don't have too much on your plate later on then I suggest lessons (if they aren't expensive). If we lived near each other I'd teach you how to play but there's a little problem with that...a few thousand miles. LOL! ;):D

God Bless,
Josh

As I was praying the Lord gave me this, may not be for you, may be for someone else but please let me know. I saw a person climbing up a mountain. They were giving it their all, hiking and hiking. They finally reached the top after the trials getting up there. I then saw the person throw a flag into the ground claiming their accomplishment and victory.
The Lord says that their will be victory in Him. There is Victory in Jesus. We never fail if we are in and with Him 24/7.

God Bless,
Josh

This could be related but not long ago I saw a vision of a mountain and noticed that dawn was about to break the sky was a beautiful purple. There was this ray of light that stretched out toward the valley and as the light shown on the ground I noticed the green grass. The light circled the mountain twice.

Wow! I recall you mentioning that a while back.

Ok I just looked up what the number to means in Biblical terms and this is what I found...

"THE NUMBER OF DIVISION. The Son who has two natures: human and divine. There are 2 Testaments: the Old and New. Man is Male and Female. Rom. 9 speaks of two vessels: one for honorable use and the other for dishonorable use. Two types of people: Sheep and Goats. There are two ages, this age and the age to come: Matt. 12:32; 13:39,40,49; Mark 10:30. "

This is what that vision could have been...not sure 100%. Light represents life. When the sun comes up there is new life, there is a new day, a new beginning. With the green grass...that means that there is beauty. Psalm 23 comes to mind whenever I hear someone say green grass in a vision or dream. But then you said the light circled the mountain twice. 2 is the number of division. Maybe...it is that since it circled the mountain twice there is a division for defeat and sucess OR light and darkness (evil, demonic darkness not night time). Pray about that. I will as well. If I have a revelation on anything or have a word about it I'll let you know. :D

God Bless,
Josh

God Bless,

I learned the guitar when I was 20 years of age. That was 40 years ago. I taught myself. I was naturally left handed but I forced myself to play right handed because I wanted to be able to pick up any guitar and play it. I decided on the guitar because I asked the Lord to give me a ministry that would always be useful for him. I knew that I couldn't transport a piano around with me on the back of my bike so I chose the guitar. Well, it has been a blessing for many years now, and I have always praised God that I decided to learn it.

I now teach others to play the guitar, and have had a lot of fun with people that way as well. My 16 year old daughter has learned the guitar also, and I bought her a good one with an amplifier for her last birthday, so she has a better quality one than I have. I am looking forward to the day when we both can play together in church.

We don't have an organist in our church at present and are relying on CDs. And the songs we want to sing that are not on the CDs, I play on the guitar. So, the guitar is continuing to be a ministry and a blessing for me.

So if anyone is considering learning the guitar, go for it. God will use it in ways you never dreamed of. I am sure that He helped me to learn as well by bring along people who inspired and taught me skills when I needed them.

Surfingangel,

The Lord DELIGHTS in you. I'm sorry it's not much long of a word I wasn't going to say anything but the Lord kept nudging me and I felt He really wanted you to know that.

Imagine your favorite food. Or your favorite thing to do. Or your favorite person to be with. Best friend. Mom. Dad. Whatever triggers those warm fuzzy feelings. The Lord loves you like that but 100 billion trillion times more!! He loves it when you just sit and tell Him you love Him. You are His. And He is yours.

Always remember you're a child of the Great King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Hope this is encouraging:)

Hey guys, I have held off giving words for those who have asked for them, because I want to encourage others to give their words. I am blessed to see that some of you have taken that step of faith and given words. They are great. Keep it up. I can probably say more in what I give because I have been doing it for quite a few years, but you guys will get there and be able to extend your gifts as you gain experience. Don't give up but continue hearing the voice of God, and others will be blessed and their lives will be changed by your faith and obedience to Him.

Just remember that when I give words, what I give is no better than what you give, so don't make the mistake of comparing what I give and be discouraged. Remember that when you say and what I say are combined, then that gives a greater blessing to the person receiving the words. The power of the prophetic is greatly increased when the voice of God comes through a number of people, and the words dovetail together to give a composite word that can blow you away.

Yes, You pray for people who ask for words, and wait for the Holy Spirit to show you something, it should always be encouraging, comforting and building each other up according to 1Cor 14, Apostle Paul said he wished we would all prophesy

Its pretty exciting when you get something for someone and then they let you know it was from God, or if you ask for a word, and people respond, and you know it is right on

You learn to hear from God within you:thumbsup:

Welcome brother

Hi. Thanks for the welcome, but ...
I was asking for a word.
Not asking what the phrase meant. ^_^
Sorry if that wasn't clear! :D

EternalLight,

I feel like the Lord wants more of you. He wants you to be a mighty light in the world. He wants others not to see you but to see Him in you. :) The Lord wants you to live a supernatural life. Jesus loves you so much. More than you can even fathom. Let him continue to work on you and as He does that you're going to see a new life full of blessings upon blessings.

God Bless,
Josh

It is important that I get confirmation in the meaning of this dream. Please tell me what you sense God is saying from this.

I dreamed that I was at my job and I was told that I had to pay my employer 6 dollars to work for them. I said to my self, what do you mean that I must pay for doing a job that I was hired to do in the first place?

Please tell me the meaning of me paying 6 dollars to my employer to work for them. Please tell me anything else God has giving to you to tell me. Thanks in advance.

Surfingangel, I've been praying for you and keep seeing you playing and singing in small groups in homes or youth and young adult rooms maybe at church and also around the fire at the beach or camping

Take a look at the story of David, how he played for Saul and the distressing spirit left him in 1Sam 16, I see depression fleeing from people as you play and worship:clap:Glory to HIM!! He will give you prophetic words of encouragement for them also and will impact and change there lives!!

I play guitar and lead worship in my home fellowship, I started playing back in the 80s when I first got saved, I got a guitar and taught myself, I learned the basic chords , c,d,g,and a, you can play alot of worship with those chords, but its good to get some lessons, or you can get a chord book and learn little by little:amen:

Awesome, God has placed in on my heart for years to lead worship in small groups and on coast trips to the beach. :) I have always felt that God has told me that leading the congregation in worship at church is not quite right for me (plus i'd be terrified). So thankyou for your word, that was good confirmation. I prefer smaller groups and i've been singing for years so I have sung a few times for smaller groups of people while my friend would play the guitar. I really really feel like God is nudging me to buy a guitar and start learning and I have been putting it off for a while, but I think it's time.

That's so encouraging about depression lifting from people whole I worship, I look forward to that greatly and will be praying into that!

That's really cool that you taught yourself guitar, I think I will buy one of those guitar lessons for beginners DVD's and learn from that to start with. I don't have a lot of time in my schedule to book myself in for guitar lessons, I might do that next year or the year after.

Thanks Steven, that was super encouraging!

Thank you to everyone who has given me words this week. I haven't even asked for them and I just keep popping back to this thread and getting soo soo encouraged by God. I've been having a really stressful week and all the words that have been shared have been so helpful.

TAKE ME BACK TO THE CROSS

Father, take me back to the cross that I might see,
More of what it cost for my Lord to die for me,
From heaven’s glory He came to a lowly birth,
Born in Bethlehem as Micah had prophesied this.

One among the twelve betrayed Him with a kiss,
Giving His master up for thirty pieces of silver no less,
What anguish of heart the Lord Jesus must have felt at this?
For Judas saw Him as Master, but He was never His Lord.

In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus sweat drops of blood,
As he contemplated the bitter cup he must drink,
He must go as a lamb to the slaughter as prophesied in the Word,
The mental anguish of this must been horrific I think.

The agonising scourging He took was that I might be healed,
For by His Stripes my sicknesses and diseases are healed,
It was my sins that took my Lord to the cross on that day,
He died that his blood might wash my sins all away.

And what excruciating pain he bore for one such as me,
The scourging alone would remove layers of skin.
His nerves would be exposed and damaged can’t you see?
Oh the agony, that my Lord endured and He did it all for me.

Pilate asked the crowds who to release, would it be Jesus Son of Man?
But the crowds wanted release of the thief Barabbas the son of a man.
So Pilate gave Jesus up to the crowd, washing his hands of this dreadful deed,
The King of the Jews wearing a crown of thorns, this would be agony indeed.

Beaten, bleeding and in excruciating pain Jesus must go up Mount Calvary,
The cross on His back He must bear, so God sent Simon His cross to bear,
And all around the crowds did jeer as Jesus proceeded, their sins to bear,
A bitter cup of gall they offered Him to drink at Golgotha on Mount Calvary.

But the bitterest cup of all was that which He swallowed on the cross,
When He took your sins and mine on His body on the cross,
They nailed Him to the cross piercing His hands and his feet,
And they made His grave with the wicked, He who knew no deceit.

My Saviour's words to You Father were “Forgive them for they know not what they do,”
Then as He was taking the sins of the whole world on Himself, He cried “It is finished.”
And now I gaze upon that cross and get an inkling of what He suffered for me and you,
I’m so thankful that He has forgiven me for it was for me His blood was shed.

The temple veil to the Holy of Holies was rent in two making way for me to enter in,
A once for all sacrifice by the precious Lamb of God, Messiah, had been paid for my sin,
The grave couldn’t hold Him and on the third day the King of Kings rose again,
Now He sits at the Father’s right hand on His heavenly throne, and soon He’s coming again
