Haven't talked/seen you in forever. haha. How are you doing? What's going on?

Well, same ole same ole really. I'm still in the worship band but it's kind of boring. I'd much rather worship than play my guitar and worship. lol. Yeah, I'm still at that Methodist church. Thanks for asking!

I'm awesome, had a months break from uni and now i'm back and getting into the swing of things.
I've joined a new choir, just for youth this time and i'm loving it. We've been doing a couple of Christian songs, which I love, my old choir was against singing any of the Christian songs.
Good on you for staying in the worship band, it's a nice way to serve the church and i'm sure God loves to hear your praises .
I've also started going to the Young Adults group at my church, cause I realised I don't actually have a lot of solid friendships with people at my church and I really need that.
I have also given up going clubbing on Friday nights and joined a prayer group that meets on Friday nights with a bunch of people from uni. I felt like it was the right thing to do and I absolutely love it.

Man, I'm sure you're glad you had a break! haha. Youth Choir? Sweetness!!!!!! Sounds like you're havin' a blast with everything goin on. Awesome news about you giving up clubbin' on Friday nights!!!!!!! Prayin with others is much better than clubbin' anyway.

Prophetic practice thread

This may or may not be a good idea, but like all the other gifts that God gives, the prophetic gifting needs to be practiced in order to be better used. In my opinion, it is not that the gift gets any better with practice, but that the person practicing gets better and better at staying out of the way of the gift.

Therefore, lets try and step out here endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit.

I suppose the biblical model must be our model too, in that one person may offer up what they think is a word and it is to be judged by others. That will take a whole truck load of humility for the ones giving as well as the ones judging. For that reason I do not think it would be fair for people to judge without also stepping out and giving words to be judged, so that should be a rule then. If you give a word you must wait for it to be judged and you must judge another's word before you can give a word again. (And visa-versa).

If it becomes clear that other rules are helpful I will add them to this post and post a notice on the thread as well.

Finally, and most importantly, if the moderating staff feels that this is just a bad idea for peace and harmony to the forum, please delete this thread immediately and accept my apologies. I mean this purely for edification, exhortation, and comfort.

I have posted the original OP above (KingsAmbassador). In keeping with his desire for peace and harmony, we have come up with the following guidelines:

1. This thread is for mutual edification and encouragement… please make sure that your posts reflect this.
2. Please do not use this platform to bring directional prophecies… ie. those which will result in major change for the person involved. For example, it is fine to say,” I think God may be moving you on in some way.” It is NOT Ok to say “God says sell your house and move to …”
3. It is never permissible to accuse any individual or group, specifically or generally, or being demonized. Nor is it permissible to pray for or prophesy deliverance. These are issues which CANNOT be addressed on a message board! If you feel that someone needs such help, please contact the recovery team, who will put them in touch with real-life ministries.
4. The usual forum rules apply – no baiting, flaming, and above all – think of the effect your words may have on others!

My head is hurting really bad right now, I just started back wearing my glasses again and it's given me a headach so bad that I had to take them off. First time I wore them in months, I mainly wear them because I have astigmatism (sorry if spelled wrong). Just started wearing them back in Feb.

A letter to the 21st Century Church.

Come and listen to what the Lord has to say to you today,
“Many of you are faithful in attending church every Sunday,
But where are you on Monday in school, college or the work place?
Yet your Pastor preached the message that you must surely seek my face.

And many of you seek to be filled up with the Spirit,
Coming to church looking for God to keep blessing you,
Oh, foolish generation can’t you see there is a reason you are filled?
Yet I shower love, grace and mercy upon you and call you to love me too.

I want to impart my Spirit to you and fill you up to overflowing,
That you might come and with me sup that I might prepare you,
To go on out into your community seeds for the harvest sowing,
Come spend time with me and you will be amazed at what I do through you.

I am the way, the truth and the life and I want to give you abundant life,
My plans for you are amazing you know but you have to say yes to my call,
That’s right each of you has been called as a disciple of mine and I want your all,
So child of mine will you respond today and give me your whole life?

Some of you have swallowed a lie which has enveloped the church throughout the ages,
You believe that I stopped healing and the gift of prophecy disappeared at the end of the New Testament Canon,
But this is a lie that satan has perpetuated to keep the body of Christ from fulfilling the commission,
Yet I have told you that “I AM, I AM and yesterday today and forever I am the same.”

My nature speaks of who I am, for I am your healer, and your provider,
I am your shepherd, your sanctifier, I give you peace, and I your creator am also your protector,
And I have said that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world,
For that to happen the body of Christ need to tell the people that I am Lord.

I have said to you my people, that you would do even greater works than I,
And yet it has still to happen even where revival is flowing and I want to ask you why?
Could it be that you have yet to learn to really walk with me in true intimacy in the secret place?
Come right up into those heavenly places and abide with me and you will see my face.

Return my people to your first love, can’t you hear my voice calling to you?
I will return for a bride whose hearts are truly committed to loving me too,
I said to you seek my face, but many of you your love has waxed cold,
Repent and return to me and I will not forget you in the days when you are old.

Many have been ravaged with sickness in the body, forgetting sometimes to commune with me,
Others among you have not correctly discerned my body when taking the bread and wine,
Yet I have said that by the scourging that I took you will be healed can’t you see?
It was for you, yes you that my blood was shed you see, so remember that when you take the bread and wine.

I have told you that each of your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit,
Yet many of you have abused your bodies with sins like gluttony,
This is a hard message I know but I want you to know that you have always been loved,
Humbly turn your whole hearts over to me today and I will heal your land and pour out my Spirit.

And yet I see there are growing numbers in the church who are turning their faces towards me,
It truly delights my heart when you my beloved come seeking for a great revival to see,
And I delight to make my presence know to you as you come seeking my face,
The veil was rent in two that you might enter the Holy of Holies in the secret place.

So my dearly beloved, I want you to truly desire and love me, for I so long for you,
Come take my hand and walk with me, give me your all this day and every day,
And you will know sweet intimacy and no matter what this world puts your way peace I will give you.,
Take my hand and I will direct all your paths and show you the way”

You keep coming up in prayer and I have heard this more than once - get in a local church. Do what you need to do to get involved in a body of believers IRL.

A word of advice from me - pray about where. Ask the Lord where it is He would have you.
