Hi Mark,

It's a looooooong story!
The night before the exam I just couldn't sleep, I tried everything, praying, warm milk, reading, resting, clearing my mind, nothing worked. I ended up getting 2 hours sleep maximum before the exam and when I woke up I was sooo tired and felt ill. My mind was just wandering everywhere and I could hardly remember what I had studied.
My Dad ended up having to drive me to the exam, cause I was so tired it was too dangerous for me to try and drive. After the exam, I was pretty bummed out cause I felt I could've done better if I had been able to think straight. My brother heard about what had happened and he called me straight after the exam (which is very rare for him to do). He told me that if I go and see a Doctor and get a medical certificate I would be able to qualify for 'special consideration' and they would try and average out my exam results with the rest of my grades. This was such good news and after the exam my Mum came and got me and took me to the Doctors and he straight away wrote me a medical certificate and was very helpful.

On the night before when I couldn't sleep and I was praying, I was getting pretty annoyed with God. Even though deep down I knew it wasn't his fault, I was just angry he wasn't answering my prayer and helping me fall asleep. Now that I look back I can see that God turned around this bad situation and helped me spend some much needed time with my family. It also helped me realised how much they care about me and wanted to help me as much as they could and for that I am thankful to God.

Wow, the same sort of thing happened to me the night before a job interview a few years ago. By the time I go to the interview, I could barely hold my head up. Needless to say, not the best way to go.

Well, I hope you the university will take all of that into consideration. Regardless, understand that whatever happens, life goes on and YOU ARE A SUCCESS. When I look back at my university years, I chuckle over the things I stressed about. Now, don't get me wrong. It's important to do your best, because that is here and now, and whatever we are working on, we should put out our best effort. But, in the bigger picture, it's only a small piece of the puzzle.

Hope you are feeling better now.

Just got off the phone, not to long ago, with the associate pastor at the Methodist church. We have a meeting this Tuesday afternoon to talk about church stuff. She's really excited about it and so am I.

Oh and I forgot to mention earlier...the prayin' went awesome this morning. :) When I was praying I heard a few people say under their breath, "Oh thank you Jesus. Yes! Yes! AMEN! AMEN! Thank you Jesus..." It was awesome!

Just though I'd let you guys know about those 2 things. :)

God Bless,
Josh
