I have been thinking about his for a while and thought I would post here and see what others think about it. I don't want to start a huge debate about prophecy and stuff. Sometimes IMHO what God says is really clear and I know he doesn't lie. For example, someone is given a really clear word about a healing for soemthing and then the thing they are healed of comes back. I am not talking about the times when it may not have been God speaking but when it is clear it is God - kwim?

Sister DP:

If a person was healed, it was God's doing. If he needs healing again, God can heal him again as He healed him once before. He is better off putting all his thoughts and mind on seeking God, rather than investigating why the sickness returned.

Regarding hearing the voice of God, there is so much confusion within the church. Many seek to hear God without obeying his written commands that are so clearly recorded in the bible. Many speak in the name of the Lord even though the words are mere godly impressions on his mind.

The true voice of God is just like the recorded words of God, convicting a soul, revealing the darkness in him, giving understanding of heavenly mysteries, or lifting a soul out of confusion into the truth. But still, all such messages must be tested by others since all human spirits can err.

Therefore, Sister DP, tell your friend to obey the written commandments of God with a greater zeal, rather than trying to find if he heard God right.

Yes. Hearing the words of God (like in prophecy) is not just a simple method.. It flows out of a deep relationship with God and even the most anointed prophet can make a mistake then.

I believe one should indeed look into a situation when something one has been delivered of comes back else it would probably come back again. Yes God can heal you every month, but it would be better if you stay healed right?

It is sad that many people (and I'm also many times guilty of this) speak in the name of the Father and then he never said anything. But it is also sad that sometimes He tells people (and I'm think I'm also guilty) to speak and we keep silent.
But since I'm still very new to the whole hearing God's voice and prophecying things I keep at small things and just keep praying and knowing that there is much grace.

I know a woman who has been in a wheelchair for quite a while. She was healed but did not keep the heeling because she rejected it. This is not always the case but suppose you were a person with a disability so much so that the government payed for everything you needed. Would you want to start having to work and be healed or stay the way you are and make the best of it. This woman still in her motored chair is able to stand up for short periods of time and has lots of pain involved with her foot but she is still such a blessing in so many ways and still does the Lord's work. Though she rejected her healing, she is now able to do more things to bless others without being tied up by work.
There are other reasons why people loose their healings... things like loss of faith or disobedience... But as far as the prophesy that told of the healing goes... It does not change it's truth.
