If we examine our local universe/solar system there are a number of observations that must be consistently explained:

1. tidal effects on earth

2. moon's near side "locked' to earth

3. phases of the moon

4. retardation of the moon's 'rising'

5. seasons of the earth

6. seasonal 24 hour days and nights in the arctic and antarctic

7. coreolis effects on earth

8. Foucault's pendulum

9. precession of the earth's axis

10. apparent daily rotation of the "fixed stars" about the pole star

11. this rotation being in opposite directions at the two poles

12. motion of the "wandering stars" (planets) including retrograde motion

13. earth-moon centre of gravity orbits

14. eclipses of the sun, moon and planets

15. northern and southern lights

16. meteors, asteroids and comets

17. moons and/or rings around other planets

18. there are certainly other effects that I have missed

There is only one self consistent model/theory that explains all of these observations and that is the present cosmology of a heliocentric solar system and a global earth. This does not explain why these objects behave as they do, it only provides a very refined model that accounts for all the observed effects.

Now add into this the experimentally verified non-relativistic laws of motion and of gravity, known as Newtonian or classical mechanics, and we now have the why that explains the model in a near perfect manner. It is so successful that it has enabled us to send people into earth and moon orbits, to the moon itself and return to earth. We have been able to navigate probes to all the planets and beyond. People have stood on our moon and observed our planet rotating in front of them in real time. Any other cosmology finds it necessary to suspend known laws of science, hypothesize supernatural intervention and invoke a conspiracy theory extending over centuries involving tens of millions of people a great many of whom are Christian.

what's actually worse then the whole "flat Earth" thing is the casual dismissal of the families and lives of the people killed in the Challenger and the Columbia explosions. Seriously, you want to preach something that's been shown to be false since before Jesus walked the Earth? that's fine, odd, but fine. But when you start posting things about people faking their deaths? that's a line you were wrong to cross.

I made this video as a way to edify Christians on God's creation but even more so to bring people to the knowledge and truth of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible (message to do that at end of video) through pulling them in with the truth of flat earth.

No it does not . In fact, Biblical cosmology is of a flat earth with a dome (firmament) overhead.

If we are on a blue marble spinning around a ball of fire (sounds like a country song title) being hurdled through nothingness certainly gives credence to evolution. The globe version has been around 500 years or so. And the church caved to this idea within 100 years. But the best way to address it is to dare someone to prove it isn't flat without the use of NASA photos and videos. (Think bug-eye lens) That's how I got convinced of its shape.

If this is the sole reason to support the flat Earth theory then it is not worth our time because we should not be using an error to reject another error.

It is Lord who blessed humanity with the wisdom so, there is nothing wrong in using Science to understand Genesis. Wherever Science falls short or contradicts Bible, I would go with Bible.

And the church caved to this idea within 100 years.

The Church has believed in a "globe earth" from the very beginning.

But the best way to address it is to dare someone to prove it isn't flat without the use of NASA photos and videos.

• Changes in star visibility and rotation with latitude
• Changes in day length with latitude (with 24-hour days in Antarctica)
• Motion of the sun
• Ships at sea going "hull down"
• Visibility of distant mountains and towers
• Eclipses
• Observed travel times by aeroplane in direct flights between cities
• ... and lots more

The Bible does not say anything about the shape of the Earth either way. To claim it does requires wildly inconsistent and out of context interpretation of scripture. It actually steals glory from God and makes God Himself somewhat deceptive and arbitrary.

This has been done, many times. Heck some guy on youtube did it with a bike, two sticks and a walkie talkie.

The fish eye lens thing is a farce. All it does is prove peoples lack of understanding of optics and basic photography.

Another classic piece of flimfammery is the shell earth theory with people living inside illuminated by a miniature sun at the centre.

One theory regarding why we haven't encountered alien life is that there may be some species that evolved inside a planet, with the crust of that planet essentially defining the universe for them. Not sure how that might work but it's an idea. No miniature sun though.

Does Wensleydale have the right structural integrity? I assumed something maybe like a brie with a crust that has hardened over time, with the soft centre being kept firm by the low temperature. Perhaps we have a shot at displacing the FES with the What Cheese is it Society? There might be a lot of ad money to be earned.
