Your problem is not new. Suppose a bricklayer has a debate with a lawyer on whether a particular bridge was safe or unsafe. I'd sugest that the lawyer would most likely win the debate regardless of whether he was right or wrong because he could argue more convincingly. That would not make him right though.
Winning a debate or having the most convincing sounding arguments doesn't make a person right. A lot depends on the credentials of the person, and the strength of the evidence. The claim that the evidence for evolution is as strong is for gravity is nonsense.
The best evidence for a Creator is creation. We witness His handiwork all aound us. God says that in Romans 1. Look around you and learn about your environment and own body. I have witnessed the birth of three children, and each was a miracle and a powerful testimony to the Creator.
Evolution assumes random mutations, and natural selection. It leaves God completely out of the picture. Those willing to see will recognise that our world and all in it didn't just happen. I have heard even some TE's say that God was there guiding the process of evolution. That is still intelligent design, not evolution.
The evidence we argue over today is not very satisfactory. No one saw creation, so we have to make a lot of assumptions and make up a lot of theories to explain what happened. God was there. He saw what happened, and He gave a description in Genesis 1. Though simple, it is detailed enough to recognise that life is not the result of evolution.
