  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Promises to Abraham

This may be the endtimes and prophecy forum, so, going back to the Old Testament, Genesis 12:3

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed

Now, in recent years, as well as the nations that turned away jewish refugees, i would consider that a curse upon Gods' chosen people. so wouldn't it seem that according to these promises, these nations are already cursed?

One other item..Germany's ban of the bible in schools etc...due to too much violence etc..in the scriptures. Wouldn't that be a curse upon God? it certainly isn't a blessing.

.

Christ is the one who is blessed and blesses at this time.

And God has used many people to destroy Jews...... Romans etc

It depends on Jewish obedience.

Not free.

Genesis 12:3

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed
God made that promise and it was meant to last forever. But it was like all of God's promise conditional. It was contidional upon them being obedient. They were not obedient so God cannot bless them.

2 Chron. 7:14
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

They were God's people, they did not follow God's will. They chose to follow their own. This is what God said would happen when they did.

2 Chron. 7:17-22
"As for you, if you walk before me as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws, 18 I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, 'You shall never fail to have a man to rule over Israel.'
19 "But if you [3] turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you [4] and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 21 And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?' 22 People will answer, 'Because they have forsaken the LORD , the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them-that is why he brought all this disaster on them.' "

That is what the Jews are today, just about a curse where ever they go.
