  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What Is Progressive Dispensationalism?

Who Popularized It?

How Does It Differ From Classical Dispensationalism.

Methinks this is a TRICK QUESTION...shame on you! LOL

Progressive Revelation is an acknowledgment that God didnt reveal ALL of his good news at the same time in history.

God meant for it to be popular by the virtue of it being TRUE.

I have no idea what you are trying to imply here. Dispensation is a biblical word. It means "house rules"...and Gods HOUSE rules have changed depending on which group of people He is addressing. Classical Dispensationalism IS progressive.

"Progressive Dispensationalism" began in a Dispensational Study Group in connection with the annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society in Atlanta,Georgia in 1986.

Two professors from the Dallas Theological Seminary have been at the forefront of the movement,Darrel Bock and Craig Blasing.

Their ideas are in error because the fail to distinguish between the "types" and the "anti-types".

In order to justify their beliefs they must throw reason to the wind and say that some things are here already, but not yet!!!

I thot he was asking about progressive REVELATION!!!! This is one reason Im glad that we in the Body can work TOGETHER...what would I be without those who know more than I do? (which by the way, is just about everyone!!!:D )

I'm glad you caught that...thanks again, brother.
