There are plenty of prophecies in the OT that are waiting fulfillment..only the Levitical laws have been done away with.

You won't answer the question about bowing down to an idol if the government commanded all citizens to because it would show clearly your position unscriptural.

You are so wrong! What do you think "new" means? The Old Covenant has been superseded by the New Covenant. Everything is new in Christ! The old has passed away. If you don't understand that you don't understand the fundamental truth of Christianity.

You cannot judge my position on anything because of the above. I would suggest that you take some time away from the forum and ask God to show you the truth in Christ.

Simply read the Book of Hebrews, it is the Levitical law and Priesthood that has passed.
Do you think Jeremiah is no longer applicable?

[31] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord , that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: [32] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord : [33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord , I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Notice v.32 'the covenant I made with their Fathers when I took them out of Egypt'...that is the Mosaic covenant that has been superseded not the Abrahamic covenant. Read Hebrews and Galatians chaps 3 and 4 to help you better understand the difference.

Besides, we're talking about a woman's freedom when we talk about the political issue of the right to have an abortion under the 14th Amendment. Show me somewhere in the New Covenant where God says that women should not have legal rights. If you're denying a woman her legal rights you are violating Romans 13, which says that we are to obey legal authority. The Supreme Court has ruled...deal with it.

I'm arguing from Scripture,you are arguing from State law. You keep ducking away from the possibility of the two colliding in conflict. Since the New Testament says you should not murder, will you still be for murdering the unborn just because the State says it is ok?...

The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. If you don't like the Supreme Court decision, too bad. It's the law of the land. Deal with it!

The strawman I was referring to was your continual drumbeat that I was in favor of denying a woman her rights. My point is that murder is not a right.
So seeing you continue to insult me ('you're out of your mind' -statement) and misrepresent my statements it will be a relief to have you put me on ignore.
Your whole defense of abortion has centered around, 'it's the law, and as Christians we must obey the law of the land'.
