Problem with Adblocker, help appreciated !

I have Adblock Plus and Youtube Control Center on an MSI laptop.

They both used to work fine.

But then, Adblock Plus begins putting me in the position where I either have to view commercials / banners etc, and the content I want to see, OR neither of them.
Even though it used to work just fine. It started acting like this yesterday.

This began happening after reserving my copy of Windows 10.

I want to get Adblock working again, so that I can watch the content I want, and not the mind-numbing, soul-draining commercial content.

(YCC is still working fine.)

Have you tried just 'Adblock' on its own? Not Adblock +

OK so are you suggesting I deactivate (or delete?) Adblock plus, and download regular Adblock ?

Which site should I download it from ?
(I'm asking because I don't want to download malware accidentally)

To clarify, you can see the videos and content you want, but without seeing flash banners and pop-ups, using normal Adblock ?

If using Chrome, which i always use, download it through that
