  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all,

does anyone know of a good pro-life ob/gyn in Sydney, Australia? Any other Dr might not want to help us as we're 42 (me) and 51 (hubby).

It's been 12 months since our miscarriage and we want to find out if there's anything wrong with me medically. I feel that I've become pregnant a few times these past 12 months, but can't stay pregnant more than a few weeks.

We just want to find out if there's anything like low progesterone or something like that that's preventing pregnancies. We know it could simply be God's timing, but we don't want to get to Heaven and find out that God had more blessings in store for us... if only we'd found out about that little fixable thing... if you know where I'm coming from.

Thanks,
Kathy

I'm so sorry for your losses, how heartbreaking!

I'm not 100% on what you're looking for, but I can recommend an OB on the Central Coast. I had two miscarriages before I had my sons and I went to see this OB when pregnant and beginning to miscarry. He is pro-life imo. Instead of recommending a curette for me when we failed to see a heartbeat (I had been bleeding) he told us that it looks as though Baby had died but to come back the following week just in case. Although he was right, the baby had died, I was pleased that he erred on the side of caution.

He ran tests on me after this miscarriage and found a fixable problem, treated me through my two subsequent pregnancies and, in my opinion, saved the lives of my two sons.

I am happy to PM you his details if this is what you are looking for.

Thanks! He sounds wonderful.

I was under midwife care for our youngest and when I had the miscarriage a few months after Jack was born, it had been too soon to see the midwives. I had no care, just an ultrasound and was sent away to miscarry. The midwives did all they could under the circumstances. They did recommend that I go and see an OB but I didn't have one (we had moved away from one we used years before), so we let nature take it's course and it wasn't until months later, when my periods were very, very heavy, that I thought maybe I should have had a D&C? Anyway, I had one but still nothing.

The Central Coast is easy enough to get to. I might use him. So yes, please PM me his details.

Thanks. :)
