Houck has pleaded not guilty to two alleged violations of the act, which stem from an altercation that took place outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Philadelphia on Oct. 13, 2021.

Mark Houck, the pro-life father of seven arrested by the FBI early in the morning at his Pennsylvania home last September will stand trial on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia.

The case garnered national interest amid shocking details of the arrest and allegations that the federal government is targeting its political opponents, in this case, pro-lifers. Houck was arrested in front of his terrified wife and kids, sparking national outrage and concern over the “weaponization” of law enforcement at the federal level.

My friend and pro-life champion Ted Meehan was inside the courthouse and detailed a pretty stunning moment in yesterday’s proceedings in the trial of Mark Houck, the pro-lifer who was arrested by a SWAT Team.

You might recall that Houck pushed an abortion escort named Bruce Love because he was getting in the face of his son. The Biden Administration decided that this was a violation of the FACE Act, a federal offense because he was violent against an abortion escort.

Ted tells me that, “During the afternoon today, Brian McMonagle (lead defense attorney) cross examined the Director of Planned Parenthood from 12th & Locust. She admitted that Bruce Love is no longer an escort there – because they had banned him! The ban was because he was constantly stirring up trouble and they were getting too many complaints about him, for several years. McMonagle asked if these complaints were prior to the episode with Mark Houck. ‘Yes they were.”

“McMonagle asked, ‘How could she have allowed this Bruce Love to continue as a volunteer if she knew he was a problem. She couldn’t give a satisfactory answer. And he pressed the issue hard, to make sure the point would not be forgotten. It was clearly a very big score for the defense.”

Actually I expect charges to be dismissed by the judge today.
I was wrong about what I expected on Friday. I thought it would be thrown out by the judge as the defense asked. The judge did let it go to the jury after all. And the jury deadlocked (temporarily?) Friday afternoon. They will resume again Monday morning and maybe deadlock, or ask the judge for clarifications, or come to a verdict. This is a significant case. If the Biden Justice Department loses, there will be egg on their faces. Which I hope will be the outcome. The worst could be a hung jury and a dismissal without prejudice and the Justice Department going for a new trial.

Let us pray for a lot of dried egg yolk on the faces that are involved with abortion and it’s protection.

The worst would be a conviction.

I sat on a marijuana possession trial once. The guy was without a doubt guilty, but we had one person who didn't want to convict because he thought marijuana should be legal. He finally came around, but it took all kinds of work to convince him that our job was not to determine whether or not marijuana should be legal; our job was to determine if this person broke the law.

My suspicion is that will be in play with this jury. All the evidence points to him being innocent, but all it takes is one person who is pro-abortion and lets their personal view on that drive their vote on the verdict for it to hang the jury. In this day and age, that is all too likely of an outcome I fear. Praying for those of that mindset to be able to set it aside and do the right thing.

Innocent!!! :)
Merrick Garland and the FBI have egg on their faces after attempting a political show trial where they couldn't get around a jury of Mark Houck's peers.

This is going to make them hopping mad.

I just pray they actually learn something from it. They are not our overlords.
