Priestly intinction

Today at noon mass, when the priest took communion, he intincted the host into the chalice. I'd never seen this done before and was a bit shocked by it. I know Anglicans do this, but I thought it wasn't allowed in the Catholic Church. Does anyone know if this is acceptable for priests to do?

Does the priest still (silently) say "May the Body of Christ preserve my soul into life everlasting" as he receives, and "May the Blood..." when he receives the Chalice? If so, does he say "May the Body and Blood..." when he receives by intinction?

Most priests I know say "May the Body and Blood of Christ bring me to everlasting life" whether they intinct or not.

I should have checked my missal on this one - it's in there. I had forgotten, since it's not printed in the missalettes, and I rarely attend the new Mass.

My Daily Roman Missal has them separate - "May the Body of Christ bring me to everlasting life" and "May the Blood..."

In the old rite, De Defectibus directs the priest to say Corpus et Sanguis if the Host accidentally falls into the chalice, so I was wondering if both would be said with intinction.

We will commune under intinction on some occasions, and Fr. says, "Corpus et Sanguis Christi."
