Hello folks. While I do not like Trump either, as he has tendencies of the wicked man from Psalm 10:2-7 (as I am center, somewhat left, but am still pro-life, but for environmental stewardship), Biden is not good as well, as he echos 2 Timothy 4:3. Joe mocked our Catholic faith.

Duration = 5 min 39 sec, summary located below video player

Video summary:

In an interview on CBS's Face the Nation, Cardinal Wilton D. Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, referred to President Joe Biden as a "cafeteria Catholic" who selectively chooses aspects of the faith to follow while disregarding others, particularly regarding the issue of abortion. This term refers to individuals who pick and choose what they want to believe while ignoring difficult teachings.

President Biden pledged in his 2024 State of the Union address to work towards restoring Roe v. Wade, prompting further criticism from Cardinal Gregory. Canon 751 of the Code of Canon Law outlines three forms of serious violations against the faith: heresy, apostasy, and schism. These offenses result in automatic excommunication unless the individual repents and seeks forgiveness through confession.

On April 23, 2024, President Biden publicly displayed a sacrilegious gesture during an abortion rights rally in Tampa, Florida, by making the sign of the cross while a speaker criticized newly enacted restrictions on abortion access. Spanish Bishop Jose Ignacio Munilla strongly condemned this action, describing it as desecrating the symbol of the cross and invoking it in a sacrilegious manner. Misusing this sacred gesture undermines the core beliefs of the Catholic faith.

Paragraph 2120 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that sacrilege involves treating holy items, people, or places irreverently. Using the sign of the cross inappropriately falls under this category, as it disrespects Christ's sacrifice and the Holy Trinity.

Saint Paul's letter to the Galatians warns against mocking God, emphasizing that consequences correspond to one's actions—good deeds lead to positive outcomes, while negative actions bring about unfavorable results. Encouraging evil acts like supporting abortion contradicts these teachings.

Throughout history, Christians have faced persecutions, including being thrown to lions or burned alive, yet remained steadfast in their beliefs. We should aspire to live according to the Word of God, remembering that whatever seeds we sow will ultimately determine our fate.

Amen to that. Is there anything we can do as well, besides praying, to help Biden turn back to his faith, and renounce his gender day of visibility stuff also (by desecrating Easter on March 31, 2024)? We should also pray for Trump, as the Bible states one must not add or remove to the Bible, which he did by adding secular documents such as the pledge and anthem to it, and that he renounces his greedy ways.

Well said. No one is perfect. We are called to turn back to God.

Hey, thanks for praying for him. Biden basically put the Bible into a blender, to chop words up and use his own doctrine. That is sickening, and saddening how far some stray from the faith.

If Biden put Christianity into a blender, what has Trump done, run the entire Bible through a shredder? I wonder how many commandments the people making these statements are breaking? The only correct applicant the USA complies with is putting "In God we Trust," on currency.

Agreed, in fact, Trump added to the Bible, which is a major sin in Christianity. A southern pastor denounced polarization in his sermon a few weeks ago.

Proverbs 30:5-6: "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."

Revelation 22:18-19: "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

God bless this pastor for speaking the truth (Duration: 9 min 20 s)

Summary:

In this video, Pastor Loren Livingston addresses the issue of politicization within the church, particularly the belief that politics is a spiritual obligation. Throughout his passionate sermon, he encourages congregants to focus on their duties towards God and fellow human beings, underscoring the importance of faith and moral conduct. Here are the key points of Pastor Loren's message:

1. Misunderstanding Duty: Some individuals view political involvement as a religious responsibility. However, according to Pastor Loren, Christians should prioritize their service and love for God above anything else. This involves dedicating themselves entirely – heart, mind, soul, and strength – and treating others as they would treat themselves. Voting does not fall under spiritual responsibilities, but rather constitutes a civic privilege.
2. Neglecting Prayer: When believers fail to invest time in reading and praying, they risk diluting their understanding of biblical principles. For instance, seeing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as equivalent to scripture reflects confusion between secular documentation and divine revelation. Such misconceptions contribute to blurring the lines between earthly pursuits and heavenly priorities.
3. Gospel vs. Nationalist Agenda: The pastor clarifies that the Gospel represents the teachings of Jesus Christ, not an Americanized version of it. Despite living in America temporarily, Christians must remember their ultimate allegiance lies in heaven. By striving to embody the love and compassion taught by Jesus, followers preserve the integrity of the original Gospel message.
4. Consequences of Mixing Politics and Faith: Intertwining politics with faith has serious consequences. Politicians may manipulate religion to promote self-serving agendas and capitalize on divisive issues. Referencing recent events involving former President Donald Trump, Pastor Loren cautions against attaching celebrity status to Christianity, warning that such attachments undermine genuine reverence for the Word of God.
5. Discernment Regarding Leaders: Although Pastor Loren avoids explicitly naming names, his words challenge audiences to critically evaluate leaders who claim affiliations with Christianity without demonstrating adherence to its core values. In essence, actions speak louder than mere declarations. Believers must scrutinize the alignment of chosen representatives with biblical expectations and reject efforts to commercialize faith for personal gain.

In conclusion, Pastor Loren implores Christians to remain grounded in their faith and resist allowing external influences—such as politics—to divert attention from their primary commitment to God. As stewards of His Word, they ought to protect and cherish the timeless wisdom found within the Bible, avoiding contamination by short-lived trends and ideologies.</s>
