I used to be into this type of thing until I realize prepping is often caused by fear of the future. And thus prepping (the more extreme versions) leads farther from Christ because we live in fear rather then being hopeful and trusting in God. If you think about it what does all this prepping do in the end? If america got nuked then it would all be for nothing. Or if we were invaded you could only survive so long. I'm not saying go out and get yourself killed near the end. I'm just saying fear is what causes people to prep. Actually if what we have is Gods, would He want us spending it stockpiling things... or using it to give to church, missions...ect. Spreading the word of God.
