The late Dr. Michael Heiser covered the subject in great detail.Thats interesting, I never heard of the Salem part referred to as Jerusalem, although I do get that Peace part and Jerusalem part. I have to look into that. I was thinking when some folks were calling Salem where Melchizedek was a King a pagan place (and his priesthood was pagan) I was scratching my head as to how on earth that could be. So then I was trying to look at it only in light of Melchizedek's priesthood (as far as it applies to the risen Christ) a light to the Gentiles (so to speak) in the whole comparing thing (backwards/forwards) and trying to catch a gimpse of that back there.

Shhh stop your blabbing.
For the Lord has prepared a sacrifice; and He has consecrated His guests. Zeph 1:7
Why don't you ask your intelligent question to whomever posted the twisted concept, since any believing soul knows that Christ is the High Priest of God.It's not blabbing by asking,
"How are they coming up with Jesus Christ being" called of God an high priest after the order of a pagan priest"
It's an intelligent question to ask How a pagan priest can be the priest of the most high God.
And I'll just put it out there that they're unskilled in the word of righteousness and need milk and not premium meat. Heb 5:9-14Not really asking you, I know you don't know just putting it out there.
I do know it was benadamm who (like quite a few) who refer to him as a pagan King and that you are not saying that, I was curious as to where that idea might have come from and that since you refute the idea that maybe you might know something concerning it.Why don't you ask your intelligent question to whomever posted the twisted concept, since any believing soul knows that Christ is the High Priest of God.

Nor will I accept an offering from your hands. For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles. Mal 1:10-11A pagan religion is the spiritual beliefs and practices developed by indigenous peoples
