Pregnant Ladies... let's chat!

Anybody else ever bummed about not having leftovers?!? We had a bunch of people over yesterday, and I made pork bbq . . . and despite making a ton of it, it's GONE! I'm really bummed today because I want MORE!

So sorry! Pork bbq is one of the best leftovers too.

I've been struggling a bit. Yesterday, I pretty much didn't get up from couch or bed. I was nauseous, lightheaded, weak, etc... I finally threw up and felt a little better - but not fabulous.

My MIL guessed last night that I was pregnant... so one last person to have to announce to.

Today feel much better. I made 4 loaves of banana bread, and just made a lasagna.... That's pretty productive for me lately... Standing up is the worst.

I have my first appointment on Feb 24th, no ultrasound at that time though, need to wait until closer to 8 weeks, I am already showing though! Guess that happens when this is #4

We are ok guys... Started bleeding heavy again last night from the stress


Again, I'm in Christchurch, NZ where the earthquake is so yesterday was very stressful, and today's been a bit better thankfully (stress wise for me)... So sad that 75+ have died.. (probably over 100-200 supposedly). Very scary though.

Glad to hear that you are ok. Praying for the families who have been affected by this tragedy.

Mmm, definitely still been affected... Whilst we don't have to move out, my family is helping move the liquification or move people from there homes all day, and our family knows of 4 people who are expected to be dead... and that number will probably increase as names are released I'm sure. We've got quite a few friends of the family who have homes that will need extreme repairs or demolition, all of who can't live in them in the meantime. I think the whole city will have been really affected quite badly in some way or another... at least mum dad's and hubbys jobs are stabler now due to it...

To update, I had another huge bleed after the quake but thankfully had doppler to calm my fears. I have a scan on Monday and then will be quitting the youth group we run later that day as I expect hubby to be working 70+ hour weeks for a wee while and baby has to come first. Really finding that decision not easy, but don't enjoy the team we are working in due to a domination of power from some of the other leaders.

I feel quite lost at the moment... In 6 months, I'll have a newborn. In the last quake 3000 people were made homeless, and they expect more this time... There are only 1000 rentals in chch on the main place that rentals are listed, and I suspect a great deal of them will be damaged also this time.

We currently live in a 7m caravan at my parents. We were going to move out once I was more pregnant, but hubby isn't in a high income job and we can't really afford high rents - in the slightest. I know that our realistic options are going to be stay put in the caravan, or move to another town.... I know that's not a big deal, but it'll be our 4th city we'll have lived in in 5 years married, and we are only just starting to feel like this is our real home. I just feel lost to be honest as I start considering the fact we have to make decisions and I just don't want to have to even think about it... I know we have water, and power and even the sewer system technically is working (though spewing up downstream into the suburbs and streams)... I just am not sure how we are going to do this with a baby in Chch.

Yeah but you work. I don't. I wouldn't survive right now having to work AND care for a 6 month old.

ok...Who's making dinner?? I'm game for a food-trip. I ate Chinese food 6 hours ago, but I'm game for some more. LOL

Down with pneumonia. Fortunately, we are 6-8wks from delivery.

While I know I'm a newbie at the whole "feeling the baby" thing, I can't help be a tad worried that I haven't felt...more.
I think I may have felt her moving, but then I think I'm convincing myself.
Aren't I around the time where I should feel her moving?

P.s. my ultrasound date got moved to this Friday (the 4th) so I still have yet to see my little Pip!

17 weeks is definitely on the early side for feeling baby. I've felt some as soon as 18 weeks and others it was closer to 21/22 weeks. I definitely wouldn't worry over not feeling movement yet!

I felt Jonathan at 18 1/2 weeks for the first time - and I've felt this little one already and I think i'm about 9 ish weeks now.

I got to see baby yesterday, and it is measuring spot on for my dates
