Preaching with Pain inside?

Is it okay to preach that there is something pain inside you? Like what happened earlier some bad things, then you are scheduled to conduct a bible-study or counseling?

The best advice I ever had on this, is that it's fine to share your own struggles when they're relevant to the Scripture you're preaching on; but you don't bleed all over the pulpit. That is, if you're not in a place where you're stable enough to share safely, then don't go there!
