So I have heard many a Christian state as they pray their mind often wonder off. But I have a problem in that I have often started in to praying just to find out within a limited time my mind is no longer on God and in all honesty not really praying. Has anyone else had this problem but more importantly any advice on how to overcome this problem?

Even though the Lord saved me when I was 13, over 46 years ago, it's not uncommon for my thoughts to wander around and not stay focused when I am praying. But when that does happen, the Holy Spirit will nudge my heart and help me regain the right focus when praying.
By understanding and accepting that often I do have a short attention span, I trust in the Lord God to keep my heart, mind, and soul on the right path.... no matter how many times that I fail Him.
