Prayers

Hello!

I remember when I was little my mom used to say prayers before I went to bed. The only one I remember is the Lord's Prayer. I know she said something like "the Hail Mary", I'm not sure if that's the name of it or not though.

I was wondering if anybody could post some prayers? I find them really comforting, but like I said, I only know the Lord's Prayer. It would be greatly appreciated

Prayer is simply talking to God. So I suggest you just say whatever is on your heart and mind.

As stated prayers are just you talking to god. The psalms is full of them, study there for some really awesome ones.

Thank you! That's what I usually do, just talk to God about everything. I'm afraid I get a little chatty sometimes I'm in the process of reading the Psalms, they're wonderful. I like having prayers like the Lord's Prayer to say sometimes before I say the rest of my prayers, they help get me in the right mindset.

Psalms are wonderful aren't they. You can never be too chatty with Yahweh and what's really great is when it's two ways.

You can never get too chatty with God. He died so He could have an intimate relationship with you. He even limits what He knows about you so you can tell Him. We were created for relationship.

The Lords Prayer, witch is really the deciples prayer because Jesus instructed them to pray in this way, is awesome. I prayed it every night when i was going skitsofrenic and i recovered.

The psalms are Awesome! especially when you realize that David was a giant killer and the mighty men, gods, and enemies, he reffers to were a real threat that he saw with his own eyes. Whats even more intense is that the isrielites were not allowed to use many horses or chariots in battle they were to rely on the Lord for victory.

Prayer is the most powerfull thing a Believer can do. God does not do anything without prayer. that is why David had to pray for victory even thow he knew that it was Gods will to give it to him. thats why Jesus instructs us to pray. Father your Kingdom come, Your Will be Done, Hear on Earth, as it is in Heaven.

have you ever tried having a cinversation with God were you speak to Him and He speaks to you.

Its really ez, just read some scripture than write a conversation with God down in a jornal. don't analize or question what you write because you can do that later. this will open up your spiritual ears.

it is important to submit some of your conversations to someone who you know hears from God because demons speak to us threw our spiritual ears to and we need to learn the difference between God and demons. i went skitso when i thought that the voice of demons was God. and i recovered when i realized that i had gone crazy and i decided to rebuke the demons whenever they try to influence me and only hear the voice of God.

But don't be afraid to talk to God because of demons. demons influence peoples thoughts and emotions weather they recognise them or not. its better to recognize them and the voice of God so you can take control of what you think and feal.

Ask your mom, what prayers you said, It is fun that you remember them and want to
relive that time.

But remember, Jesus taught to pray to the Father in Heaven.

I personally believe that saying prayers written by other creation is a total ripoff
and that it steals from the individual that is repeating them.

I would not say hail mary, as you are worshiping a created being and or a roman goddess nor would I pray to saints or angels, or other creation.

But it is fun to remember childhood prayers.

When Jesus taught the Lord's prayer that you remember, He gave it as a good format for any of our prayers. So when you're wondering if you're doing it right, just go back to that simple arrangement, and know that it was God-approved.

I am teaching my kids The Lord's Prayer to say at bedtime As for me, I mainly talk to God about my day. I ask for His presence and guidance in my life and my family's. I also pray to Him to help other people deal with the issues in their lives. I would like to learn prayers as well. I'm sorry I couldn't offer you more.
