I just found out my 10 year old daughter has scoliosis (curvature of spine). While I realize that it is not life threatening, just the thought of anything wrong my kids make me sick. I feel like I have just been punched in the gut. Please pray for her and that she continues to realize the Lord's love and that my wife and I will be strong.

Praying for your daughter. I had it too (at 12). Slept on plywood bedboard my whole adolesence and grew out of it. I pray the Lord is as kind to her. I'm believing in her victory or this thing.

I'll be praying. My sister had a very severe case of Scoliosis. I know how difficult it can be on a family. Will she be needed a brace?

Your family is in my prayers.

Ummm, just to offer some comforting words, my sister's case was so severe she needed surgery on her back in her early teens, but recovered so well, she was a long distance track star in college and runs the Boston Marathon every year.

I'm sorry this has happened. I know as a daddy you feel out of control because you cant protect your baby from this. But God is able and He is going to carry you all through this.

Thank you for your prayers. It means more than you know.

I think both my wife and daughter are doing better than me as I do not handle my kids being hurt well. She is big into ballet so she is a little worried how this will effect her. From what we have been told so far she can continue and ballet may even be good for her.

I am not sure about the brace or treatment yet. We met with our pediatrician initially to review the x-rays. I am not sure what percentage curve she has yet either. We made an appointment with a peds orthopedic but their first available appoint is not until Dec. 4. We have been looking around for others but to our amazement few exist here and we live in pretty big city. The ones we are scheduled to see and supposed to be very good and her doctor told us to just allow her to continue her normal activities until then.

Praying for your daughter's healing & peace, strength, comfort for your family.

Just a testimony of God's healing power. I was having constant headaches several years ago and was told that I would need about 1-2 years of chiropractic treatments to adjust my back/neck to stop the pain. Instead a pastor prayed over me and I forgot about it since the headaches stopped. About 6 months later I had another exam and was told I had a "textbook perfect" spine. Now who but God heals perfectly.

Since God is no respecter of persons, what he did for me he can do for your daughter.
