  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Prayers, please

My grandpa is in the ER and will likely be there a while having tests run. He has Peripheral Arterial Disease, so this is a regular occurrence and will probably result in him needing yet another procedure to remove a blockage. Although it is common for him to go through this, it doesn't get any less stressful each time it happens. He is strong for a man in his mid-80s, so he should be OK. But, prayers for his health and medical care would be appreciated.

They suspect that the clot has moved to his lungs. :( My husband is there with him now - I am on standby and receiving text updates, as I'm at work and can't leave as easily.

:prayer:

Still praying for him. :prayer:

Well, the scan showed no clot. I'm struggling between  and  since I'm not really sure why they made the assessment they made without apparently knowing for sure that there was a clot. Although, he does have quite a history, so it would be a logical assumption.

At any rate, they are keeping him overnight, at least, due to the complaints of chest pains.

I tell ya - it's never a dull moment with this man. :swoon:

Thanks everyone. :) I got to see him tonight. He looks worn out, but spending a day in the ER can do that to a person. lol He said they chalked it up to ghost pains from previous procedures and it seems he will get discharged tomorrow morning after breakfast. I can't tell you how relieved I am!
