On Sunday morning I went to leave a happy birthday message for an old friend of mine on Facebook. It had been since Oct, 2010 since we last talked. Prior to my moving to Pittsburgh in 2006 we had been very close, great friends for about 9 years. Unfortunately for the past 4 years we had only talked about once every 4-6 months. This friend was always so kind to me and taught me alot about being unselfish and loving towards others. Anyways, I knew she was going through a hard time last fall, but I did not know how bad it had gotten. The last time I talked to her it sounded like she was highly intoxicated and was slurring her words, but I did not want to say anything about that. Anyways, it turns out she died on Nov 23, and I never found out until Sunday morning. She died of severe cirhossis of the liver due to alcoholism. If you can please find it in your heart to pray for the Handmaiden of God, Susan, I would most appreciate it. Memory eternal!
